pthomas@ttplan.net Mr. Thomas is the Principal and Founder of Thomas & Thomas, Planning, Urban Design & Landscape Architecture, Inc. Mr. Thomas has over thirty years of design and planning experience in professional private practice with prior experience in the public sector. He founded Thomas & Thomas to develop quality landscape, environmental and urban design projects. Mr. Thomas' specialty is in the public process, working with boards, councils, organizations, City agencies, and design teams, helping to develop project strategies that are cost effective and maximize quality design solutions. His design work has helped to shape major development projects and public improvements throughout the western states. Prior to founding Thomas & Thomas, Mr. Thomas practiced land planning and landscape architecture in resort communities in Western Colorado, Utah, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. For over twenty-five years Mr. Thomas has been involved in planning, environmental, and landscape architectural projects throughout the Western United States. Projects range from large scale Master Planning to site specific design elements.

Ms. Thomas, president, co-owner and co-founder of Thomas & Thomas, offers extensive project experience in community wide master planning, cultural, recreation and environmental assessments, design implementation, and project management. She has worked extensively with large institutional clients and non-profit clients to create development design guidelines that emphasize water conservation and regionally appropriate landscape architecture models.
With her strong interest in both urban and natural ecological aspects of landscape architecture and urban desing she is able to blend the needs of the client with the needs for realistic implementation that is sustainable. JAMES HOUK, ASLA

Mr. Houk offers extensive and varied experience in community and park master planning, resource management, construction management, and landscape architecture. Prior to his employment with Thomas & Thomas, he spent two years involved in the research of community based planning, alternative stormwater management strategies and watershed planning. This research has since been presented at the Soil and Water Conservation Society’s National Conference in Toronto Canada.
For over the past eleven years with Thomas & Thomas, Jim has been project manager for a wide range of large scale recreation plans, land suitability studies, community and parks master plans in southern Colorado, including Cheyenne Mountain State Park for the past 5-years, Cross Creek Regional Park, Fountain, Colorado, and the Colorado Front Range Trail from Pueblo to Trinidad.
